The appearance of derti fm 98,6 radio station on the bandwidth of our receivers was the happy conclusion of a series of effective business and financial moves.

As of 1/4/06 management of the 98.6 frequency passes to IMAKO MEDIA S.A., which got the Super Star radio station broadcasting from the specific frequency with an average daily rating of 1.5% (focus bari 20/2-19/3/2006 ratings source) and brought into effect derti's new concept that was launched for the first time on 1/6/06 and in a very short time projected it up to the top ratings.

Derti fm 98.6 is the radio station which set new paths for new sounds, different to what listeners were used to listening on the radio up to that time. With a distinct and unique recipe, derti was the first radio station that based its program exclusively on Greek popular songs that knew great success from the ‘60s until today. This is a purely Greek popular radio station. As its rapid success proved, it covered the tastes and the need of many members of the audience to listen every day, in their house, in their car, to the songs that have accompanied them many times throughout their lives, and which they often choose for their entertainment in their evening outings.

Apart from the product concept, that clearly concerns the musical choices, the radio station’s overall concept supports its popular character by making tributes to people that left their stamp on this genre, through the style of the programmes, and the interactive activities for the audience members, which are asked to leave their own popular note on air, by singing their favourite songs.
