TTICA PUBLICATIONS S.A. and IMAKO MEDIA S.A. announce the establishment of a joint-stock company in Romania, with the initial aim of publishing  the magazines “IN STYLE” and “OK”.   The joint-stock company, with a corporate name ATTICA IMAKO MEDIA S.R.L., in which both parties participate with a 50% stake, will have €500,000 share capital.   The Chairman of the company will be appointed by IMACO MEDIA S.A. and the Managing Director by Attica Publications.  

The newly established company has acquired the publishing rights of the international women’s title “IN STYLE” in Romania, in collaboration with Time Inc., which is expected to be available in April 2008. The rights were obtained because of the successful collaboration of IMACO MEDIA with Time Inc. in Greece and Turkey.  Time Inc. is the largest magazine publisher in the world, publishing more than 150 titles and having a reading public, which exceeds 300 million globally every month, and an absorption percentage of the advertising expenditure near25% of the American magazine market.  Apart from the USA, Greece and Turkey,  INSTYLE magazine is also published  in the United Kingdom, Russia, Brazil, Korea, Germany and Australia.

Moreover, ATTICA-IMACO MEDIA S.R.L. has acquired the option for the publication of the international magazine “OK” in collaboration with the British publishing firm, Northern & Shell plc. The rights were granted to the new company by Attica Media Romania, a subsidiary company of Attica Publications, which already publishes successfully the magazines “Playboy” and “Maxim” in Romania.
The magazine market in Romania presents significant development prospects both in the advertising expenditure sector and in the circulation of lifestyle and fashion magazines.
